I selected “A guide to cuts of meat and where they come from” and this appeals to me because I am trying out veganism. This design depicts a picture of a cow, pig, goat, and chicken in order from the cow being at the top of the food chain. Within each animal is segmented body parts that humans eat and what each body part is called when we buy them. The composer did a great job of making the viewer see the alive animal before it is killed and chopped up. This design makes you look at the everyday meats that we eat while viewing the animal that we are killing. This is definitely a vegan’s artwork because it expresses the inhumane actions that humans will do against other living organisms. Looking at the picture of the cow and the sirloin part of it was difficult because I love sirloin. Now I see sirloin in a different way and know that in order to have sirloin, I have to kill a cow. This seems a little dramatic, but in order to eat meat we have to slaughter living animals. This action is not morally right and I think the composer informed its’ audience about what they are killing when eating meat.
